Carex virgata (Swamp Sedge) is a hardy; fast-growing New Zealand native sedge forming dense mounds of bright green; gracefully arching foliage. Ideal for wet areas; pond margins; rain gardens; and riparian planting; it thrives in full sun to part shade and is excellent for erosion control and soil stabilisation. Tough; evergreen; and low maintenance.
