Feijoa Apollo 3.3L 50cm-70cm Grade

A smallish evergreen tree from Brazil with stacks of perfumed green fruits like no other! Startling pinkish-red flowers in early summer are followed by pendulous egg-shaped fruit in autumn which drop conveniently when ripe. An easy-going attractive tree for screens and hedges best planted in full sun with others to cross pollinate although some varieties are self-fertile. Thrives in our cool temperate climate. 2-3m x 2m.

Widely regarded as having the best flavour; Apollo produces very long torpedo-shaped fruit with rough skins. The flesh is smooth; highly aromatic and very sweet. Self-fertile but better yields when cross pollinated.
