A smallish evergreen tree from Brazil with stacks of perfumed green fruits like no other! Startling pinkish-red flowers in early summer are followed by pendulous egg-shaped fruit in autumn which drop conveniently when ripe. An easy-going attractive tree for screens and hedges best planted in full sun with others to cross pollinate although some varieties are self-fertile. Thrives in our cool temperate climate. 2-3m x 2m.

Feijoa ‘Waingaro’
A high yielding tree; produces many large fruit with a rich feijoa flavour. The thin smooth skin can also be eaten! The fruit stores well. Needs long growing season.
