Phormium cookianum ‘Purpurea’ (Purple Mountain Flax) is a hardy New Zealand native flax with striking red-purple foliage; bringing bold colour and contrast to the landscape. Slightly smaller and softer in form than traditional flaxes; it’s ideal for mixed native plantings; shelter belts; borders; or feature planting. Evergreen; fast growing; and highly tolerant of dry; cold; and exposed conditions.
