Viburnum plicatum ‘Mariesii’ 2L

The ‘Wedding Cake Bush’; our favourite Viburnum! Plant this stately; deciduous shrub in a special place as a specimen and watch the impact it has. In late spring; this wide; spreading; teired shrub is smothered in large; flat-topped; dazzling white blooms of lace. The leaves are a handsome; rich green; deeply veined and turning purple in autumn. Red berries follow the flowers; gradually turning black. 3 x 4m.
Birds and bees love this oustanding shrub and so do gardeners! A seriously good landscape plant featuring deciduous and evergreen varieties. Prefers moist; fertile soil; easy to grow and very rewarding. Extra hardy in cold winters; coming into magnificent flower in winter; through to spring.
